10 Signs that your home or workplace maybe bugged

Do you ever get the feeling that someone’s been eavesdropping on your conversations? Perhaps you feel like people around you seem to know things that they shouldn’t know or things that you swear you haven’t told them. Other people might tell you that you’re being paranoid but if your gut instinct tells you that something isn’t right then you could be the victim of bugging.

Bugging can take place anywhere and for any reason, it could be a suspicious partner at home tapping into your telephone conversations, or a competitor at work eavesdropping on your private meetings trying to obtain your clients! Whether you’re suspicious about bugging in your car, your home, or your workplace there are a number of tell-tale signs that you can look out for to see if your suspicions are founded.

  1. People seem to know your activities or private information when they shouldn’t
  2. There are strange sounds or volume changes on your phone line
  3. You’ve noticed sounds coming from your phone handset after you hang up calls
  4. Your AM/FM radio, television or car radio has developed a strange sound interference
  5. Electrical wall plates or ceiling tiles appear to have moved slightly
  6. Your home or premises have been burgled but nothing much taken
  7. Sometimes your phone rings but there’s no one there or there’s just a sound on the line
  8. A small bump or discoloured patch has appeared on a wall in your home or workplace
  9. Trucks or vans often park outside your workplace or home with no one visible inside them
  10. You notice dust or drywall debris on the floor by your walls

Being bugged can be a damaging experience, whether it’s in your personal or professional life it can leave you feeling vulnerable and can result in private information being leaked. If you have any suspicions at all that someone is listening into your conversations you should speak to us at Foxglove Services. We have a highly trained specialist technical department that perform counter surveillance, bug sweeping, TCSM and debugging to give you the peace of mind that any bugs will be found, removed and deactivated.
